this picture was slightly clarified.
You should go groove on the funky, fucked-up, holy shit art that happens there. There are a lot of great artists to friend from there.
Fair warning, nearly all of it is NSFW.
That doesn't stop me from putting it on my friends list, though, since...well, I don't do LJ from any place where I'll get in trouble for viewing things that are NSFW.
I encourage you to do the same: join the community and don't do LJ where you'll get in trouble.
You know why?
Cause sometimes people will be working through the backlog of weekly-subjects for

Anyway, I'm comparing 2 lenses right now, both for myself and a couple of friends, and would like some feedback outside of places like Ken Rockwell, DP Review, and general buyer reviews on Ritz Camera's website. Hopefully you folks can help.
Lens 1: Nikon Zoom Super Wide Angle-Telephoto AF Zoom Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX VR II Autofocus Lens This lens has a lot of hype behind it, meaning to say that a lot of people are talking about it. I know it is a big lens, and appears to be very versatile, but that's about it.
Lens 2: Nikon Zoom Telephoto AF VR Zoom Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S Autofocus Lens This lens is about as interesting as the previous one, though it appears to be a bit older.
Now here's the thing; I'm really not used to modern zoom/telephoto lenses, coming from the world of manual, fixed-focal length lenses on the film side of things. However, getting a good "modern" lens would not be a bad thing for a "modern" camera, such as anything from the D70s through the D300, or so I'm told. Do any of you have any feedback on these two lenses in particular? Pros? Cons? Real life experience?
Thanks again! ^^

COMIC BOOK READERS! And everybody else who knows where a comic shop is!
A suave fellow by the name of Vito Delsante has his first Big Three (Marvel, DC, and Image) comic book coming out TODAY.
It's Superman #676, it's a standalone issue, and you should really buy a copy.
This is the kind of thing that can really kick-start a comic book creator's career.
His LJ is
incogvito, he writes for the online fabulous that is Chemistry Set Comics, he's on Facebook as Vito Delsante,
The moral of the story is as follows: GO BUY A COPY OF SUPERMAN #676.
Every issue of this comic that gets sold is another shot in the arm for Vito's chances to get another go at working for DC.
As somebody who's been doing their damnedest to bust into the comic field, I understand the importance of this event for Vito.
If you can spare three bucks, if you read comics anyway, even if you just wanna do a good thing for a good guy, pick this up.
HERE'S HOW TO FIND WHERE YOUR NEAREST COMIC SHOP IS.
Again, it's a standalone issue, it's got a fantastic Superman vs Solomon Grundy cover by Alex Ross, and you're really gonna be helping out a man who deserves it.
TELL A FRIEND ABOUT IT, TOO.
Me?
I'm gonna buy two.
Thanks kids.
Love,
b

Model and rope-guy extraordinaire - Alex. Natural light, but since the space was so dark, some exposure correction was needed to get it here (could have done a little better with it, but I'm not completely displeased).
Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
