The music was fantastic. Just phenomenal.

There are 60 photos, so take your time.

I had moved my way to the center of the stage to get some better shots. A professional photographer dropped down out of my shot then asked me what I shot. I said Canon and he took off his lens and handed it to me. It was a Tamron 17-24 2.8. Nice. These are the shots I got with his lens.

During their song "Soul", the crowd went nuts. I didn't get to capture it, but there was moshing going on.

At one point Rocco turned around and dropped to the ground. No warning, just, bam! Everyone rushed up to the stage. He was on his knees playing his Dobro on the ground.

During the concert, I got to meet a guy who used to play with Rocco in Long Beach. So, I got to go with them after the show and meet the band.

The Duck Room is one of the best places to see music in St. Louis, next to the Pageant. Only one problem, lack of seating. Do you know why they call it the Duck Room?

No. I don't know why they call it the Duck Room.

Please, elaborate!

It used to be just tall enough for a normal person to raise his hand and touch the ceiling. When bands were down there and they got rambunctious they would jump up and hit their heads on the I beam. They were told to "Duck!" Therefore the "Duck Room."

If you think that any of my photos would be of use, as I have them in very large sizes as well, you can contact me individually, if you'd like.

Great shows across the bill --- get it?
That night was an altogether great evening. There was an unbelievable energy oozing off the stage. There was a lot of soul and passion by each of the groups that unfortunately is becoming less and less common. I was so impressed by the creativity and talent displayed raw and live like it should be. Even the vocals were elevated to more than everyone has gotten used to.

Chuck Berry often plays at Blueberry Hill and famously he had a signature guitar move called the "Duck Walk". The room is tributed to him for starting rock-n-roll as it is known today. Arguably the most famous resident from the STL.

Your pics are brilliantly captured -- it's easy to recall the electricity the room suspended that night. Each of these groups are worth a listen with an enthusiastic ear.

We came out for Rocco but got more than a bargain! Cheers to all of them and here's to their success for doing it right .... as it should be!

I'm really glad that you found my photos and that you enjoyed them.

The concert was phenomenal. All the bands were just amazing and we got more than our moneys worth of music.

I will treasure that evening for a long long time.
